How to Play

Starting a Game

To start a Pazaak game, you must invite another player using the /pazaak invite <player> command. To accept the invitation players must use /pazaak accept <player>.

If you are using a Vault compatible economy plugin players can also play with a bet using /pazaak invite <player> (optional)<bet>. Remember to enable the bet_system option in the config as well.

The Game

The objective of the game is to reach as high as 20 points without going over by drawing cards numbered from 1 to 10. The player with the highest score (sum of your cards), wins the round. The player who wins 3 rounds wins the game.

At the start of the game, the first turn will be determined randomly and a card will be placed on the player's side. As you can see, there are 2 sides. The left one is yours, and the right one is the opponent's.

On the start of each turn a new random card will be added. You can't have more than 9 cards.

Players have 3 items at the bottom of their inventories that can use on their turns:

  • End Turn: If you use this item, you'll finish your turn and receive another card at the beginning of your next turn, meaning a random card will be added to your points.

  • Stand: If you use this item, it means that you don't need another card so you keep your current points until the end of the round and do not play any other cards. It is recomended to use this button at 17, 18, 19 and 20 points. (Remember, if you use STAND at 20 you can't lose, only win or tie).

  • Quit Game: If you use this item you abandon the game granting the win to your opponent.

Finally, each player have 4 extra bonus cards (chosed randomly) in their inventory. These cards can be played in your turn to get closer to 20, or prevent losing when you go over 20. There are two types of extra cards:

  • Plus Cards (+)

  • Minus Cards (-)

Resource Pack

By default, each card is represented by a custom textured head, but the plugin provides a resource pack that includes card textures and the original Pazaak sounds.
